Continuous Process Improvement

Continuous process improvement is a key focus area for UCLA Administration.  Assessing and improving our processes will enhance the quality of service we provide to our customers, promote effective use of resources as well as increase overall productivity and performance.

UCLA Administration is subscribing to the GEMBA Academy online resource library, which offers a host of learning activities to enhance our knowledge and application opportunities for continuous process improvement.  The tools and techniques of applying the LEAN concept to improving processes will directly support our organizational focus on continuous process improvement.

  • The self-paced courses are available to Administration employees at any level.
  • Each module, available in English and Spanish, consists of video segments presented to increase one’s knowledge on the topic and demonstrate application opportunities in the work environment.
  • Each segment includes printable overview handouts, online quizzes, and facilitator guides.

OED is recommending learning paths to equip individuals with the foundation for continuous process improvement and provide them with tools and techniques to begin identifying and improving processes in the workplace. Individuals can choose to begin with these learning paths and then continue with the remaining videos at their own pace or they can choose to create their own learning paths relative to their CPI goals.
