Housing & Hospitality Earns Design Awards

Creative Director Magyn Kydd accepted the awards on behalf of the Housing and Hospitality Communications and Marketing team.

Housing & Hospitality’s Marketing and Communications team earned two Awards of Excellence and two honorable mentions at the 49th annual University & College Designers Association design conference, held October 12 in Portland, Oregon.

Awards were given for the BruinPlate Cookbook, published in support of the Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center at UCLA, and for Housing’s summer hostel website. Magyn Kydd, Sara Stockford, Lynley Fleak and Felicia Caldwell were among the talent credited for the cookbook, while Ivy McNally was noted for her work on the website.  In addition, Ivy earned an honorable mention for her work on the recent rebranding of the H&HS mentoring program and Kimberly Teruya received an honorable mention for The Study at Hedrick Lookbook.

UCLA's Bruin Plate Cookbook was published in support of the Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center at UCLA.


In addition, the team earned accolades from the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International, at its business operations conference held Oct. 22-24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Bruin Plate Cookbook took gold in the specialty category, while the Study at Hedrick self-service kiosk captured second place for interactive marketing and the H&H summer hostel website earned second place in its category.
